The Fishery Foundation of California sprang from the United Anglers of California in 1986. Over the past two decades, it has been our goal to improve fisheries resources. This includes salmon, steelhead and other fisheries of California including those of coastal waters, the San Francisco Bay Estuary, and the rivers of the Central Valley and Sierra-Nevada drainage systems. Our efforts have improved fish populations through building fish passages at barriers to migration, improving spawning habitat, and increasing the survival of hatchery raised fish.
